The Auberge des Orpailleurs is the ideal place to stop in French Guiana.

Halfway between Cayenne and Brazil, 20 minutes away from Cacao village and on the banks of the Orapu river, Silvana and Jonathan will welcome you for a meal and one or more nights.

Come to try Jonathan’s cooking, bring in your hammock for the night or choose one of the bedrooms in the tropical garden and enjoy the heart of nature.

Menu: €16 (starter/main course/desert) lunch during the week, €20 at weekends and evenings

Breakfast: €6.00

Carbets-hammocks: €7.00 (hammocks are not provided)

Bedrooms: from €24 to €40

You can also:

<   - rent a canoe for one hour or longer;

<   - go for a pleasant 2.5 mile walk through the forest;

<   - go for the Molokoï path, a 2-day hike (for further information, please call);

<   - go fishing on the Orapu river.

Entomology equipment is also possible.
